Looooooong summertime break. Time to keep your English alive. Try to read your favourite novels , listen to that new CD that makes your day and get some non-diposable new film but, above all, try to take some mock exams every week. Google words such as FCE, First Certificate practice test, first certificate listening practice, advance English practice test, Advance English reading test, etc.
Here are some very useful links. I published some of them in this same blog earlier on. Some of them are new, though.

Now that we're reaching the end of the course I'd like to remind my students of the message I've been trying to put accross. The main thing I intend to teach everyone is the value of independent learning. Learners should be reflective, that is, they should know what their weak spots are, set their own goals and plan their work to achieve those goals. It is as simple as that.
Spot-on games to practise your reading skills:

Those of you who went to Manchester had the chance to meet Les. Yes, I mean the guy whose tongue machingunned away in a right broad accent from Newcastle. The thing is that he has kindly offered to answer e-mails from any of my students who are interested in having a Geordie penpal. Anyone who is interested in having his mail address may just ask me in class.

It's a pity that most of you did not show up. This film is one of those unpretentious rare jewels that deals with a seemingly marginal topic while addressing very important issues about the 80's United Kingdom and probably nowadays European Union, especially countries like ours.

Almost everything is on you tube 4 u to check out!!! This is a very useful activity if you want to focus on pronunciation , rhythm and ultimately speed.
Remember you have these rhymes printed out. A good exercise progression could be identifying sound patterns such as rhyme and vowel repetition. Then, you can proceed to say the patterns aloud following the artist's flow. Finally, you can start learning some lines by heart parroting pronunciation and rhythm. Once you know a good old chunk you can use it as a kind of mantra to warm your tongue up to prepare for some real English.
